Winter Family Fun In Sydney | 2014
I’ve put together a list of fun events that are happening in Sydney over the colder months. Haven’t we been lucky in Sydney, I was walking around in boardies and a t-shirt at 9pm last night not quite believing that we’re in the middle of winter!
In no particular order and by no means exhaustive, here’s my list of fun things you can do with the kids over the winter. Please put any events that you know about in the comments at the bottom for us all to share.
SLIMEFEST! @ Sydney Olympic Park
This September, SLIMEFEST is coming back toSydney Olympic Park Sports Centre and it’s bigger than ever with performances by Cody Simpson, Justice Crew, Timomatic and more soon to be announced.
And it wouldn’t be a Nickelodeon concert if it didn’t have

SYDNEY INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW 2014 @ Darling Harbour
There is a change on the horizon and the 47th Sydney International Boat Show will be like no other.
While the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre undergoes a major upgrade over the next three years, the Sydney International Boat Show will move its undercover exhibits to the interim facility that has been specially built at the historic working port known as Glebe Island.
The new Sydney Exhibition Centre @ Glebe Island is a fully functioning exhibition facility designed to accommodate world class exhibitions.
The spectacular Cockle Bay Marina, always a show highlight, remains on its traditional site in Darling Harbour.
We will be there looking at all the snazzy boats as guests of the lovely d’Albora marinas. I had the pleasure of visiting their Spit Bridge marina a few weeks ago to see how they do things and also what cool boats they look after. Read all about it here.
