I am going to challenge myself today to say ‘AND’ instead of ‘BUT.

The reason for this is that I want my speech to sound more positive and also that I think that it will help me become more accountable for what I commit to with the kids

Here’s an example:

BEFORE – “I really love you BUT I wish you wouldn’t practice your Gangham style dancing in the kitchen.”

AFTER – “I really love you AND I wish you wouldn’t practice your Gangham style dancing in the kitchen.”

The ‘BUT’ makes it sound like the ‘I love you’ doesn’t matter somehow or that I might not mean it.

I’m up for the challenge and i’ll repot back before sleepy time with my results.

Feel free to join me with your ‘BUT(T)’ tails/tales!
